Dr. Beth Potter(52) and her husband, Robin Carre(57), were found dead on Tuesday, March 31st at the University of Wisconsin Arboretum, located on the Madison campus.
The slain couple were found in a ditch by a jogger at around 6:30 a.m
Robin was pronounced dead at the scene, while Dr. Potter survived just long enough to get to the hospital, where she died from her injuries
Dr. Beth Potter and Robin Carre died from “homicidal related trauma,” according to the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Authorities have not disclosed the manner of their deaths, but UW police said the slayings were not by chance.
“Through our police investigation, we reached a point where we were confident in that this was not random and this couple was targeted,” said police department spokesman Marc Lovicott.
”Beyond that, I can’t provide any further details as this is a very active police investigation.”

Khari Sanford(18)has been arrested in connection to the homicides of Madison physician Dr. Beth Potter and her husband Robin Carre.
He was booked into the county jail Friday on the tentative charge of first degree intentional homicide.
Sanford is acquainted with a family member of the victims.
Ali’jah Jawuan Larrue(18) was arrested for a first degree offense of intentional homicide by the UW Madison Police Department.
He is being charged with two counts of party to a crime for first degree intentional homicide.
Dr. Beth Potter was the medical director of Employee Health & Wellness for UW Health since April 2016.
She was also a physician with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Access Wingra Family Medical Center since September 1999.
She finished her family medicine residency program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1999, and she also attended Rush Medical College of Rush University Medical Center.
She had a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature from Knox College.
Robin Carre was an “Independent Educational Consultant” for Carre College Coaching in Madison, Wisconsin for more than five years.
