Two Texas men are dead following a double-date that turned deadly on June 30, 2019.
Coby Rigsby (32) and his unnamed partner were on a 4×4 double date with Austin Smith (27) and Austin’s girlfriend. They had all spent the day together. That evening, Coby and his partner got into an argument and Austin attempted to intervene.
The two men then got into a fight on the street. Coby produced a gun and the other three fled the premises.
On Sunday morning, Austin and his girlfriend returned to Coby’s house with a trailer to pick up their truck. That’s when Coby allegedly shot and killed Austin. He then went into his house and turned the gun on himself.
Austin was killed a day before this 28th birthday.
