Alejandro Ripley (9) was last seen, by his mother Patricia Ripley, on May 21, 2020 at around 9pm.

An Amber Alert was put on (although a lot of our members in the area claim it did not come to their phones) but it was listed online and shown on TV.

A Florida AMBER Alert has been issued for Alejandro Ripley, last seen in the area of the intersection of SW 158th Avenue and Kendall Drive in Miami, who was last seen wearing a blue Captain America shirt, black shorts, and black Crocs shoes. He has a scar on his left leg.
The child was abducted by two unknown black males driving an unknown light blue 4 Door sedan. One of the abductors may be wearing all black clothing and a black bandana as a face mask. He may also have cornrows in his hair.
If located, DO NOT APPROACH. Contact law enforcement immediately. #FLAMBER.

They later found the car-

His body was then found at around 9 am the next day, 12 hours later, in a lake by the local golf course.

From Miami Herald: The source said a security camera at Home Depot in West Kendall caught Patricia Ripley sitting in her car alone for 20 minutes prior to her call to police about the alleged abduction at 8:47 p.m.

The mother of Alejandro Ripley is the primary focus of the investigation into his death and admitted playing a role in his death, a senior law enforcement source told CBS 4 News.
The source also said that the mother admitted making up the story about two black men abducting her child.
The law enforcement source said the mother broke down after police found witnesses who claim to have seen the mother with the child near the lake where the child’s body was eventually found.

A Miami woman accused of drowning her 9-year-old autistic son in a canal pleaded not guilty to murder charges at a Friday hearing.

An attorney for Patricia Ripley, 45, entered the plea during a video-conference arraignment. Ripley faces charges of first-degree murder, attempted murder, kidnapping, aggravated child abuse and filing a false police report.
Update October 30th-
A grand jury has indicted Miami mother, Patricia Ripley, for first-degree murder in the drowning death of 9-year-old son with autism and prosecutors say they’ll pursue the death penalty.
Under Florida law, only someone who is indicted by a grand jury can receive the death penalty
