UPDATE – OCTOBER 7, 2019
The causes of death for the family have been revealed. Casei Jones was killed by Michael Jones with a baseball bat on July 10. He also strangled the two oldest children at this time. For some unknown reason, he left the younger children alive, before drowning them weeks later. Michael has now been charged with four new counts of homicide.
ORIGINAL STORY – We have a strange one for you today….
Casei Jones (32) and her four children, Cameron Bowers (10), Preston Bowers (5), Mercalli Jones (2), and Aiyana Jones (1) were missing for six weeks from Ocala, Florida. During this time, someone had been updating Casei’s facebook page.
It was thought that Casei had possibly taken the children and their vehicle.
It then emerged that Casei’s husband Michael was possibly also missing.
Rumors were flying around online. Was Casei hiding from her abusive husband? Was the entire family on the run for some reason?
On Sunday September 15, 2019, law enforcement confirmed that they had found Casei’s remains:
And then came the most heartbreaking news. Michael led law enforcement to the remains of the four children. He admitted to killing Casei and the kids, and he stored their bodies in their home and in his van for WEEKS. He eventually took all the bodies to Brantley County in Southeast Georgia (around 150 miles from their home), where he dumped them.
