UPDATE- Kassannsdra’s body has been found. Details at bottom of the blog.

Kassanndra Cantrell, 33, has been missing from the Parkland area of Tacoma, Washington State since Tuesday August 25, 2020.

She was last seen at 8:30 a.m. that day, when she drove away from her family’s residence on 4th Ave. E. in a white 4-door 2014 Mazda 3 sedan. Her family reported her missing on Thursday August 27 after she did not return home for several days, having no known contact with her friends or family.

Cantrell’s friends believe that she may have planned to go to a grocery store, but there have been no records of financial activity to verify that she went shopping. They also stated she had mentioned being threatened online.

Shortly before midnight on Friday August 28, Tacoma Police officers located Kassanndra Cantrell’s vehicle in the area of the Tacoma Dome. The unoccupied vehicle was found parked along 25th St. E. near the I-705 overpass. Detectives asked all businesses in the area where her vehicle was found to please check their surveillance cameras for any images of her or her car from 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday August 25 to 11:55 p.m. on Friday August 28, 2020.

Her twin brother made a post online about her phone (which is now turned off) pings.

He also posted that he had a theory and wanted police to look at the father of the baby and his girlfriend.

She has missed her first pregnancy scan which is extremely worrying when friends stated online that she was very excited about her baby.

Mother of missing Parkland woman: ‘Please let her go’-

The group gathered at the park Sunday morning to see if they could find any evidence that Cantrell had been there. Police have not said if her phone or purse have been found.

Her mother says Cantrell’s cell phone last pinged off the south Vashon tower just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday before it was either turned off or died. Police told her the most logical location of the phone based off of the ping would be Point Defiance Park.

But her mother doesn’t believe she ever went to the park. Smith says her daughter would occasionally go to the park to walk her two Chihuahuas, but she left the dogs at home.

Colin Dudley, arrested-

Update-

Pierce County, Wash. – We are learning more today regarding the horrible murder of Kassanndra Cantrell of Parkland. Investigators now believe Kassandra was murdered between August 25th and August 26th, 2020

At 1:30 p.m. today the ex-boyfriend, Colin Patrick Dudley, is to be arraigned in Pierce County Superior Court on First Degree Premeditated Murder Charges.

In the charges documents they detail out the history of Kassanndra and Colin going back to how they met in 2006 at a Rocky Horror Picture Show where Colin was the director and Kassanndra a cast member.

Through the use of phone records and witnesses detectives were able to start seeing a pattern of Colin being involved in some way in Kassandra’s disappearance. Armed with that evidence, detectives interviewed Colin. When questioned about being in contact wwith Kassanndra, Colin adamantly denied being in contact with Kassanndra at all since 2011 when he saw her working at a mall.

When told by detectives that the Kassanndra’s phone records showed he had been in contact, Colin stated that should not have been the case.

As far as an alibi goes, Colin provided information on his place of employment and work hours. Even confirming that on August 25th, 2020 he was not at work. Colin said he went to Costco Business for some gas, and then did his “Spring Cleaning.” He said the following day he took trash into his work since he could use the dumpster there. Detectives were able to confirm that he went to Costco on the morning of the 25th but what he purchased was a large box of 50-gallon trash bags.

During the same interview, detectives asking him about being the father to the unborn child Kassanndra was said to be carrying. Colin told detectives, “No. No Way. Hell No.” that he would absolutely had not have gotten together with Kassanndra.

This matched up with a previous interview that detectives had with a friend of Kassanndra’s regarding if she had told Colin or not. According to the charging documents, the detective asked the friend how Colin felt about the pregnancy and she replied that the victim initially did not want to tell Colin because he did not want children. Colin had reportedly made a statement before when
they were dating that if any girlfriend of his got pregnant and wouldn’t get an abortion, he would sue to get full custody just to spite the mother for having the child.

On September 1, 2020 detectives, with the assistance of the FBI, searched the defendant’s residence. During the search they located presumptive positive blood in various areas of the basement of his residence. Additionally, K-9 units trained in
locating human remains were run through the house and showed interest in various areas of the basement.

On September 22, 2020 detectives learned that location data
had been obtained from the defendant’s truck that showed the truck traveling to a location near the Chambers Bay treatment plant at 6:00AM on August 26. The truck remained stationary for approximately ten minutes at this location before moving again
and returning to the defendant’s residence.

Based upon this new information detectives searched that area and located human remains inside trash bags that had been thrown
over a steep hillside. The detectives observed a tattoo on the body that matched a tattoo that the victim was known to have. The detectives also saw what appeared to them to be stab wounds on the body.

The remains were positively identified as being those of victim
Cantrell by dental comparison. During the autopsy the Medical Examiner noted multiple fractures on the victim’s skull.

Note due to the condition of the victim’s body the Medical Examiner was unable to determine if Kassanndra was pregnant at the time of her death. We at South Sound News believe the multiple witness accounts and the family that she was pregnant at the time of her death.
