UPDATE: Mark Wilson Jr. has been arrested and charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of the Baker boys. Police say he is “well known” to the family. Social media shows that he is the boyfriend of Sarah’s sister, Cindy.
Tayten and Robert Baker were found dead in their home in Putnam County, FL on August 26, 2020. Their mother, Sarah Baker, and a younger brother were asleep in another room at their Shiloh Rd home and when she awoke she discovered their bodies. Their father, Chad Baker, was working out of town as a truck driver.
Sarah says she shielded her younger son from seeing the bodies and ran to their grandfathers home nearby and yelled to call 911. His wife called while he ran back to see if he could help the boys but it was too late.
This is being investigated as a double homicide. The Sheriff’s Office says there is no thread to the community and that this is an isolated incident. They also said that the autopsies are both ruled a homicide.
The Sheriff’s Office have been responding to comments online with some interesting information:
Allegedly Sarah’s sister, her sister’s boyfriend, and their infant were all at the home right before this happened. Family members confirmed that the three of them had also been staying there. They’re being questioned as well.
